History
The AFPPDO was activated on 07 January 2011 as the AFP’s Peace Process Office. However, with its increasing role in the peace and development programs of the AFP, the Office was renamed as the AFP Peace and Development Office in 29 November 2016.
Currently, the AFPPDO’s core function and mandate is “to advise the Chief of Staff, AFP on matters pertaining to the AFP’s peace initiatives in support of the government’s peace agenda.
